ASSESSMENT

“A good student knows how to do 3 things:
(1) find information
(2) study it
(3) evaluate the results and then adjust his actions

The ability to objectively evaluate yourself or to receive an objective assessment/advice from a professional in your field is highly important.

A wise person seeks the assessment of a professional. Wise people are ready to pay a lot of money to be assessed objectively and down to the smallest detail. Because they will be able to see what they cannot see on their own. And as a result, they will be able to improve their today’s situation.

A shy person is afraid of assessment. He worries about what people say and think. He thinks not about his product he thinks about himself.

A selfish (arrogant) person aggressively reacts to any assessments.

OUR NATURE:
The most important human ability is to adapt to the surrounding world without losing one’s individuality. Only improving it. Maintain a balance between internal and external.

In order to be able to adapt, our whole being constantly monitors what is happening around. It evaluates the state and seeks to change depending on the circumstances. We change breathing, pronunciation, behavior, nutrition, the way we study – everything in our lives.

We use this technique for any exercise or skill. From the first lesson. On a regular basis.
It takes time to become a habit. As soon as this happens, the student becomes more efficient and independent.

STAGE 1 - GETTING TO KNOW
1 CONSCIOUS CORRECTNESS

The first stage in learning anything: words, grammar, dialogues, listening, etc.

This is not about automaticity or speed. The main thing is to minimize errors. If words, read and write correctly. If there are dialogues, then the grammar is correct.

That is, everything happens slowly and very thoughtfully (without automatism), but correctly!

Why conscious correctness? Because you not only speak correctly, but also can explain why it is so correct. This experience will be very useful in accelerating the learning of other languages.

2 CONFIDENCE
3 AUTOMATION

After correctness and clarity comes the automation of the skill.

That is, now you have 2 things:
conscious correctness + automation

This means that you have developed a subconscious automatic habit of speaking in the right way, without wasting time “to think”.

Your speed should be at least 90% the same as the speed of your base language.

You can see that in the Multispeaker system, next to the exercises, I use special poses with a time limit (eg 00:45). To really make sure that you do everything automatically, without wasting time on thinking.

Monotony is our best friend here.

Time is a good solution for both parties:

for the learner: you can be sure that your skills and knowledge are at an automatic level.
for the teacher: it is very easy to check the quality of homework.
The time limit can always be adjusted depending on the student’s level.

STAGE 2 - LEVEL UP
1 RAISING THE LEVEL

After you have achieved the correct automatic result on the first level of difficulty, proceed to the next level.

For example, at the first level you learned 100 words. They brought them to automaticity. The result is perfect, and the audience gives a standing ovation. In fact, you speak English perfectly within these hundred words. They ticked the box, took the championship belt and moved to the next weight category. More adult. Like in the next class at school.

2 WE REPEAT STAGE 1

Now that you’ve moved from, say, 5th to 6th grade, you need to follow the same steps as you did in the previous grade. We take information or a skill and automate it.

Everything is very simple. But knowledge of these stages allows the student and the teacher to always move calmly, without panic, understanding that everything is under control.

If you ask the question “How well do you know English?”
An adequate student will say: I know well/excellent at the level of the sixth grade. I already know this, this and this. I continue to study. More later.

The disorganized “panic student” will always complain: I still can’t watch movies; I still don’t understand everything they say; I still can’t read everything; I still don’t speak without thinking.

And it is interesting that the second student’s level can be even higher than the first. But that toxic background will greatly disturb both him and the teacher.

Objective assessment depending on your level is an extremely important conscious skill of an effective student.

In general, to check yourself, you need to ask 3 questions:
1. Can you do it?
2. Can you do it perfectly correctly (quality)?
3. You can do it perfectly and quickly.

IT IS NORMAL WHEN:

1. You don’t know some words or sometimes you forget them.
2. You don’t know some grammar.
3. You have imperfect pronunciation.

Everything comes in its time. I will explain.

If you have a well-thought-out program, then specific mistakes will already be foreseen by your teacher.
At each stage there are mistakes. Believe me, most of your mistakes bother you more than the teacher. When the time comes, you will simply be given the necessary exercises and set tasks. Mistakes will disappear in an instant, like a student’s first scholarship.

Conclusion: you can make as many mistakes as you want, but only when it is allowed by the program at a particular stage.

IT IS NORMAL WHEN:

1. You worry about every little thing.
2. You take the biased judgments of incompetent people to heart.
3. You try to justify yourself in front of everyone
for your mistakes.

This is your psychological failure. Raise questions and work through this aspect with specialists.
